King of Bhutan visited Singapore to pay his respect to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

On the sixth day of National Mourning, 28th March 2015, His Majesty the King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen Jetsun Pema  arrived in Singapore and visited the Parliament House at 12.35 PM to pay their last respect to the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, where his body was laying in state. Accompanied by Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, His Majesty wrote the following in the condolence book.

"A stradivarius leader - 

On the passing of His Excellency Lee Kuan Yew, one of the most extraordinary and visionary leaders of our time, I convey my deepest condolences and those of the people of Bhutan." - Jigme KN Wangchuck

On 29th March 2015, Their Majesties was cordially invited to attend the state funeral for Mr Lee Kuan Yew. 

Meanwhile in Bhutan, upon the Command of His Majesty The King, the National Flag was flown at Half Mast in respect to His Excellency Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore's first Prime Minister.

Ministers, Senior Government Officials, well-wishers, and Singaporeans residing in Bhutan participated in a ceremony to light a thousand butterlamps, and offered prayers for His Excellency Mr Lee Kuan Yew, at the Kuenrey of the Tashichhodzong.
